Using AI to stop accidents before they happen

We all know that you cannot always point the finger at an individual when a road accident occurs. Factors such as the type of road and weather are just two out of many major contributing factors which cause road incidents. The fact that the UK government has invested over £175m in making roads safer alludes to the truism that you cannot always blame the driver!

31% of fatal crashes and 26% of serious injury crashes in Britain involve somebody driving for work. There is clearly an issue with the current procedures which are used to prevent these incidents. Outdated and ineffective methods such as recording how often a driver harsh breaks and considering the time taken to complete a trip are simply not enough!

TSIS (Transport Safety Intelligence System) refers to the use of cutting-edge artificial intelligence to mitigate the risk of transporting goods from A to B.

Predina –  backed by Entrepreneur First (Europe’s best accelerator) are the pioneers of TSIS and are currently working alongside one of the leading global industrial gas companies to help them ensure that they distribute hazardous goods safely.

Without giving away too much, Predina’s TSIS software utilises a range of factors which include the weather, fuel prices and many other unorthodox elements which do not always spring to mind when assessing different causations for a road accident. These factors are used to produce dynamic and real-time predictive information which saves lives. These sophisticated and complex mechanisms occur behind an ergonomic and aesthetically pleasing interface which can easily be tailored and integrated into your workflow.

Sure the TSIS software will save your company a lot of money, but more importantly, it is a step in the right direction to maximise the safety of workers, ensuring that ‘dad gets home safely to their children’. TSIS operates in a rare realm that is both money and safety efficient – ensuring a balance rather than a compromise.

Every week I will be educating and keeping you up to date with Predina and TSIS’ progression. You are more than welcome to make suggestions or drop me a message for TSIS related discussion.
